Wash, peel, and chop your potatoes.
- Fill a sauce pan with there cups of water of just enough water to cover the surface of the potatoes.

Bring the water to a boil add in your chopped potatoes.

Once the potatoes become soft and it is easy to stick a fork in them, add in one stick of butter.
- Add in milk until it stops boiling.
- Add in one tsp. of salt and one tsp. of black pepper.
- Stir everything together thoroughly.

Bring the mixture to a boil again.
- Mix approximately 1/4 cup of flour with 1/3 cup of milk and make a mixture of smooth consistency.
- Add the milk and flour mixture to your potatoes and stir together.
