Ingredients
-
1
Package of Zatarain's Crawfish Shrimp and Crab Boil
-
1
Lemon
-
1
tsp
Salt
-
1
tsp
Cayenne Pepper
-
2
Jumbo 2 Pounds bags of raw shrimp
-
Water
Instructions
-
Fill a large pot halfway full with water.
-
Add in one teaspoon of salt.
-
Add in one teaspoon of cayenne pepper.
-
Cut a lemon into quarters.
-
Add the lemon quarters in with the water.
-
Add in one bag of Zatarain's shrimp boil.
-
Mix it all in and turn up the heat on the stove to a high temperature in order to get the entire mixture to begin boiling.
-
Once you've gotten the water to a rolling boil, add in both bags of raw frozen shrimp.
-
It doesn't take very long for shrimp to boil. However, a good measure of when they're done is to simply observe the shell of the shrimp.
-
When it begins to turn pink, and the meat begins to turn white, that's when you know the shrimp have been fully boiled.
-
Once all the shells have turned pink, and the meat has turned white, drain the shrimp in a colander, and they are ready to serve hot, or refrigerate to serve cold.
-
Enjoy!
