Total Time: 35 mins
Ingredients
  • 1 Package of Zatarain's Crawfish Shrimp and Crab Boil
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 2 Jumbo 2 Pounds bags of raw shrimp
  • Water
Instructions
  1. Fill a large pot halfway full with water.
  2. Add in one teaspoon of salt.
  3. Add in one teaspoon of cayenne pepper.
  4. Cut a lemon into quarters.
  5. Add the lemon quarters in with the water.
  6. Add in one bag of Zatarain's shrimp boil.
  7. Mix it all in and turn up the heat on the stove to a high temperature in order to get the entire mixture to begin boiling.
  8. Once you've gotten the water to a rolling boil, add in both bags of raw frozen shrimp.
  9. It doesn't take very long for shrimp to boil. However, a good measure of when they're done is to simply observe the shell of the shrimp.
  10. When it begins to turn pink, and the meat begins to turn white, that's when you know the shrimp have been fully boiled.
  11. Once all the shells have turned pink, and the meat has turned white, drain the shrimp in a colander, and they are ready to serve hot, or refrigerate to serve cold.
  12. Enjoy!
